About Me

My name is Zac Hester. I live in Rapid City, SD with my wife Shannon. Currently, I work for the Rapid City Journal as their primary, on-site web developer. I attend school at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology where I am completing degrees in electrical and computer engineering. My favorite pasttime is rock climbing in the Black Hills. My wife, Shannon, works as a high school science teacher.

Zacharyhester.com is hosted on my personal web server located at Kentec Communications, Inc. in Sterling, CO. The server is a dual-PIII rackmount system with a couple large IDE disks. As always, the server is running FreeBSD. As of writing this, the OS is FreeBSD 5.3 Release (p-2).

Running the site is a custom-built Apache 2.0 web server with PHP 5. Additionally, MySQL 4.1 is used for the database server.

All pages on this site should conform to the full XHTML Strict DTD (validate). Additionally, CSS is used to spice things up (validate).
